For one of our clients we are looking for a 2/Eng (operational level, holder of III/1 COC or higher) to join their non-DP HLV Construction vessel asap If you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and have experience with hammering and deck equipment maintenance, you have prior offshore or offshore construction or dredging experience, as 3/E or 2/E in a similar setup (operational level) we want to hear from you! REQUIREMENTS: full COVID-19 vacc cert holder of III/1 or higher BOSIET or HUET DESCRIPTION OF ROLE The Second Engineer may be in charge of an engine room watch and is responsible to the First Engineer for operations and maintenance of the engine rooms and propulsion equipment. All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within the company and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices. This will include, but not be limited to: • Actively reporting all undesired events and safety observations using the Safety Observation system and Undesired Events Report system. • Actively reporting non-conformances using the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) system. • Actively reporting and managing any unsafe act, condition or procedure or environmental unsafe acts and conditions to the Chief Officer so that action can be taken to manage or minimise any and all risk. All personnel are also expected to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity within the company and ensure familiarity with and adherence to our Code of Conduct. POSITION OVERVIEW Generic Key Responsibilities & Activities • Act as Engineer Officer of the Watch (Duty Engineer) • Operation and maintenance of the Ship's technical equipment according to the established operational and planned maintenance procedures. • Assist in the training and familiarization of Fitters, Mechanics and Motormen in their department. • Assist Chief Engineer in providing support to the Master in conducting Shipboard • Management Review in accordance with the ISM Code. AUTHORITY/DIMENSIONS • Operate within the Code of Conduct • Operate according to the company Management Principles • Ship Level of Responsibility (ISM/STCW Code) - Operational Level • Support standards and procedures for the Marine and related Functions • For level of authority see Expenditure and Authorisation Specification' KEY QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE • STCW 95 (A-II/2) Certificate of Competency (Engineer Officer IV Unlimited) meeting legislative requirements of the Flag State • Recognised Seaman's discharge book • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing in accordance with STCW Code Table A-II/I • Appropriate knowledge of Flag State Maritime Law / Legislation. • Appropriate knowledge of ship's Safety Management System (Ref: ISM Code) • Completed Security Awareness training relevant for the position (Ref: ISPS Code) • Valid offshore medical and offshore survival certification suitable for geographical area of work • Attendance at PASS school induction and other company familiarisation prior to mobilisation • Compliance with the company Competence Assurance Assessment Programme (CAAP)
