Our client is seeking a permanent Chief Engineer with passenger experience for their tall Sailing Vessel - for global voyages. Salary based on a 2:1 contact is £36,052  Minimum UK MCA Yacht 4 or SMEOL (Senior Marine Operators Licence) although higher engineering qualifications would be preferred.  STCW Basic Safety Training (essential)  ENG1 Medical Certificate (essential)  Fluent in English (essential)  DBS Certificate (desirable)  Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage a high volume workload in challenging conditions.  Previous experience of working as an Engineer on a sailing vessel is desirable although not essential.  Good communication skills  Ability to work under pressure All required certificates must be in date to be eligible. Vessel details: Gross tonnage: 586 tons Main engines: 2 x 400 bhp Generators: 2 X 105 kVA and 1 x 57 kVA Speed under power: 8 knots Speed under sail: 10+ knots Fuel capacity: 37 tonnes Due to short notice, we will only be able to contact candidates the clients decides to consider.
